Clear tools for practical plumbing decisions.

Plumbing Calculators helps homeowners, installers and planners check water flow, pipe size, drain fall, water-heater demand and fixture loads without turning a straightforward question into a black box.

Built for the question in front of you

Every calculator begins with one job: measure flow at a tap, check a known pipe, total fixture units or plan a drain run. It asks for the information that changes that answer, then shows the result, units and assumptions in plain language.

The tools are designed to work together when a task needs more than one step. A fixture schedule can inform the next drainage-sizing step; a measured flow can lead to a pipe-size check. They do not quietly turn one kind of result into another.

01

Useful before technical

Start with the result a reader needs, then make the calculation and source detail available for review.

02

Assumptions stay visible

Material, code basis, pipe opening, pressure and other choices remain connected to the result they affect.

03

Clear limits

Each page states what the tool can check and the information needed before an installation decision is made.

About the author

Plumbing Calculators is created by Suresh Desai, a construction consultant based in Uttar Pradesh, India. He works with builders developing residential societies in the state, with a focus on material estimation and project planning.

Suresh also created Material Calculations, a website for construction material calculations.

Each calculator identifies its inputs, units, method, and stated limits. Where a page relies on a source or model-code basis, it links to that material and records a review date where one is available.

Use results responsibly

These tools support planning, comparisons and learning. They do not replace adopted codes, local amendments, manufacturer instructions, permit review, site measurements or the judgment of a qualified plumbing professional.
